Blake Monroe Reveals Why She Turned Down Love Island Twice Before Becoming a WWE Superstar

Blake Monroe has revealed that her path to becoming a WWE Superstar could easily have taken a very different turn.

Long before stepping into the wrestling spotlight, Monroe was approached about appearing on the British edition of Love Island. She was reportedly just 18 or 19 when the reality-TV opportunity first came knocking. The proposition resurfaced years later, giving her another chance to enter the world of televised romance and celebrity.

Yet Monroe remained unmoved.

Despite the allure of reality television and the visibility that could have accompanied it, she ultimately declined both opportunities. Her reasoning was refreshingly straightforward: professional wrestling was never a fleeting ambition for her. Becoming a WWE Superstar was the destination she had in mind.

Rather than detouring into the glossy, often unpredictable realm of reality television, Monroe chose to keep her attention fixed on wrestling. That decision may have seemed unusual at the time, particularly for someone so young, but it reflected a remarkably firm sense of direction.

Now, with Monroe carving out her identity in WWE, those earlier decisions carry a different significance. What once looked like opportunities left on the table can instead be viewed as deliberate choices that kept her moving toward the career she genuinely wanted.

For Monroe, Love Island offered a possible alternative chapter. WWE, however, represented the story she actually wanted to write.

Her journey is a reminder that not every tempting opportunity deserves a yes. Sometimes, the most consequential career decision is simply knowing which door to leave unopened.
